The José Pablo Moncayo Award Ceremony is an act of official public recognition, dedicated to the composer of the same name and presented to those individuals whose efforts have enriched the Mexican musical panorama.
Tenor Ramón Vargas, Composer Arturo Márquez Navarro, Soprano Patricia Santos, and Cultural Promoter Esteban Moctezuma have been selected to receive the José Pablo Moncayo award in this first edition ceremony.
These winners were proposed by Alejandro Raúl Elizalde, President of the Patronato of the OFJ, and were later submitted to a vote by the Council of the Patronato, where they were approved by absolute majority.
