Teatro Degollado 2016

In celebration of December´s delightful holiday traditions, the OFJ joins forces with the Ballet de Jalisco in a great classic:  the complete ballet The Nutcracker, by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.

Premiered in 1892, Tchaikovsky´s The Nutcracker is based on a tale by Ernest Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, later adapted by Alexandre Dumas as The Nutcracker.

This grand holiday celebration will take place from the 15th through the 18th of December in the Teatro Degollado, under the baton of this week´s guest conductor:  Maestro Jesús Medina, Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
