Romeo and Juliet, the much-beloved ballet written by Sergei Prokófiev in 1935 and based on the well-known Shakespeare tragedy, has become an annual classic for the OFJ as well as the dance-loving tapatío public.
Our state ballet company, Ballet de Jalisco, under the direction of Dariusz Blajer, collaborates once again with the OFJ in this exciting twentieth-century dance classic; this time, conducted by the outstanding Polish music director Agnieszka Duczmal, who founded the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio.
Romeo and Juliet will be presented at the Teatro Degollado on Friday, June 1st (8:30 PM), Saturday, June 2nd (7:30 PM), and Sunday, June 3rd (12:30 PM).
