First 2016 Orchestra Season, Teatro Degollado
Six soloists, one instrument: the violoncello. With a repertoire that runs from breathtaking virtuosity to the purest lyricism, we present a unique program in which six of our own OFJ cellists will come out from behind their music stands and perform in front of their orchestra--and their adoring public.
The concert will open with the Obertura Mexicana No. 2 by Blas Galindo (in whose theme we will recognize the song “Qué te ha dado esa mujer”), and conclude with the last symphony written by Josef Haydn, the famous Symphony No. 104, “London”.
