Third Orchestra Season, 2016

The TEATRO DEGOLLADO, one of the world´s finest stages, the pride of Jalisco and of all Mexico, commemorates the 150 years that have passed since it first opened its doors and began to make itself home to the greatest of artistic manifestations over the past century-and-a-half.

On this special occasion, the OFJ  concludes its cycle dedicated to the symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven with his Leonore Overture No. 3 and the towering Ninth Symphony in D minor, Op. 125, universally known as the “Choral Symphony”—a monumental musical work to honor an equally monumental landmark.  The orchestra´s Music Director, Marco Parisotto, will take the helm, accompanied by a truly exceptional vocal quartet.

These concerts will be presented on Thursday, November 3^rd in PALCCO, and on Friday, November 4^th at 8:30 PM and Sunday, November 6^th at 12:30 PM at the Teatro Degollado.
