Second Orchestra Season 2018, Teatro Degollado
One of the OFJ´s most important activities is its contribution to public cultural education. To that end, the orchestra presents frequent concerts dedicated to children and young people. We delightfully present our hosts for this one-of-a-kind sonic experience, Mar Domínguez and Marco Ayala, and our guest conductor Enrique Radillo, who will guide us through various works inspired by musical and dance traditions from different parts of our planet, including selections from the ballets Gayaneh by Aram Khachaturián and Coppélia by Léo Delibes, as well as the sonorous exoticism of the Maurice Ravel work Alborada del gracioso and Islamey by Mili Balákirev. We wouldn´t dare leave out something special from our own part of the world on this concert, so we´ll have a chance to enjoy Guadalajara by Pepe Guizar, in an arrangement by Jalisco native composer Manuel Enríquez.
This performance takes place at the Teatro Degollado on Sunday, June 24th at 12:30 PM.
