About composer Alexey Shor…
Alexey Shor grew up in Ukraine, then moved to Israel, but has been living in the USA for most of his life.
His compositions have been performed at such renowned music venues as Wiener Musikverein, Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Moscow Conservatory, MariinskyTheatre, The Concertgebouw, Wigmore Hall, Teatro Argentina and others. The Overture to his ballet “Crystal Palace” was performed at the 40th Gramophone Classical Music Awards ceremony in London.
Shor is the Composer-In-Residence for the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, and the Malta International Music Festival and Piano Competition.
Shor’s works have been performed by many internationally acclaimed stars, including
Salvatore Accardo, Nareh Arghamanyan, David Aaron Carpenter, Ray Chen, Veronika Dzhioeva, Narek Hakhnazaryan, Andrei Ioniță, Haik Kazazyan, Freddy Kempf, Denis Kozhukhin, Ji Young Lim, Shlomo Mintz, Andreas Ottensamer, Duo Paratore, Vadim Repin, Maxim Vengerov, Trio Wanderer, Ingolf Wunder and Nikolaj Znaider, among others.
