OFJ and Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán give concert in Chapala
The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (OFJ) and Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán performed yesterday afternoon, Friday, October 14, at the Lake Chapala Boardwalk, in a concert open to the public entitled "Paradise between centuries", under the direction of maestro Enrique Radillo, a presentation that families and visitors enjoyed.
In this way, inhabitants of the place and nearby municipalities, enjoyed the function of both groups that they offered for free at the Fuente de Los Pescadores, with a very Mexican repertoire that included everything from 'Huapango', by the Jalisco composer José Pablo Moncayo , even songs by Jorge Negrete and Agustín Lara, some of them interpreted by the singer Lupita Jiménez.
Present during this concert, the head of the Jalisco Ministry of Culture, Lourdes González, reiterated the commitment to take the OFJ beyond traditional spaces to continue working on the decentralization of culture in the entity, one of the axes of most important work during his administration.
For his part, Alejandro Aguirre, municipal president of Chapala, expressed his gratitude for the facilities granted to carry out this presentation, and for being the first time that the OFJ has been present in Chapala in an event with these characteristics.
