OFJ: Educating children with a classical concert!
This Sunday the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra dedicated a concert for children, in which they recounted the story of Pedro and the Wolf with magnificent pieces.
What better pedagogy for children than music? This Sunday was dedicated to the little ones, as the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (OFJ) decided to dedicate this week's events to children with an educational concert, in which, with the support of the narrator Karina Hurtado and the guest conductor Inés Rodríguez guided the little ones to know the sounds and musical notes.
“We hope that they start imagining a story and leave with a complete film”, mentions Inés Rodríguez when presenting today's program to the little ones, most of whom are attending a classical concert for the first time. The great sound of the winds enveloped the Teatro Degollado with a slow and clear melody, likewise, the accompaniment of the strings fill the piece with body.
An "untimely" interruption comes in the middle of a concert, highlighting that it is not polite to be late, this causes the little ones to burst out laughing at Karina Hurtado's performance. But that is not the only interruption that she makes, but in the middle of certain pieces she highlights the ability of music to provoke emotions.
A cello solo stands out in the Russian pieces by the composer Anatoli Liadov, which resonates throughout the Teatro Degollado, with a soft and romantic sound, emblematic of an instrument such as strings.
Ragazzi made the public of Guadalajara dance.
Once the narrator goes on stage, she introduces the characters with each of the instruments, who play an exquisite solo to present their musical instruments. While they are introduced, the narrator interprets each of the animals, which causes a laugh among the little ones in the audience.
Little by little, during the story, all the characters in the story are included, creating a soft, intense piece with varied sounds that shaped the story they sought to convey. The solos of the flute -which represents a little bird- are soft, energetic and clear when represented during the piece, highlighting the virtuosity of the instrument.
Likewise, each of the sections stood out during the story that made the little ones leave the concert delighted. “My favorite part was when the cat ate the duck”, mentioned a little one at the end of the magnificent OFJ concert.
