Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra will inaugurate the Morelia International Music Festival
The Morelia International Music Festival "Miguel Bernal Jiménez" reaches its 34th edition, and the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (OFJ) will be in charge of inaugurating this great event, next Friday, November 11 at 8:30 p.m. the Mariano Matamoros Theater.
The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra will print a universal symphonic repertoire in its programming, taking into account gender equality, as well as the most important Mexican and Jalisco composers.
It is important to note that the OFJ is one of the most vibrant orchestras in the music scene of Mexico and Latin America, which was founded in 1915 in the city of Guadalajara, at the initiative of one of the most prominent composers and conductors in Mexico, the teacher m José Rolón.
With more than 105 years, the Jalisco Philharmonic and its quality have been acclaimed by all those audiences that manage to listen to its melodies; They have performed in the most important concert halls in Mexico, Korea, the United States, Berlin, Munich, and Vienna.
The opening program of the Morelia Music Festival is dedicated, in its first part, to W. A. Mozart, and will begin with the Overture of the Opera buffa Las Bodas de Fígaro (1786), a piece that stands out for its vibrant energy and optimism.
